Death Requiem - Mortification

As they gather at the funeral wake

To speak of good times gone by

The deceased soul learns some more

Revealed reality, the flames of unrest

«Maybe his in his next life»

Sobs ma as the tears roll

Unknowing the eternal destination

As He awaits the judgement throne

«He's at rest now»

The hired celebrant proclaims

He tickles all the ears

While sin is exposed by the Heavenly Host

Silence falls over the crowd

As the casket lowers into the ground

While kneeling in the Heavenlies

Confessing the forsaken Lord of his life

«How can God allow this»

Cries sister in lament

But God had other plans

And revealed what this has meant

You gather what you cast into this straying earth life

While man has his will, the Son paid the price

You turn the flesh back into dust

Saying return to dust you sons of Adam

Lord teach us so to number our days

That we may apply our hearts to wisdom

In order that we avoid the aftermath of separation

Returning to the original purpose of creation

So back on earth men make their claims playing

«Where do they go» games

While up in Heaven the creator cries as people listen

To each other’s lies

Mentre si riuniscono alla veglia funebre

Per parlare dei bei tempi passati

L'anima defunta impara qualcosa in più

Realtà rivelata, le fiamme dell'inquietudine

«Forse la sua nella prossima vita»

Singhiozza mentre le lacrime scorrono

Ignorando la destinazione eterna

Mentre attende il trono del giudizio

«Ora è a riposo»

proclama il celebrante assoldato

Solletica tutte le orecchie

Mentre il peccato è esposto dall'Ostia Celeste

Il silenzio cade sulla folla

Mentre la bara si abbassa nel terreno

Mentre inginocchiato nei celesti

Confessando il Signore abbandonato della sua vita

«Come può Dio permetterlo»

piange sorella in lamento

Ma Dio aveva altri piani

E ha rivelato cosa questo ha significato

Raccogli ciò che getti in questa vita terrena vagante

Mentre l'uomo ha la sua volontà, il Figlio ne ha pagato il prezzo

Riduci la carne in polvere

Dicendo di tornare a spolverare voi figli di Adamo

Signore, insegnaci così a contare i nostri giorni

Affinché possiamo applicare i nostri cuori alla saggezza

Per evitare le conseguenze della separazione

Tornando allo scopo originale della creazione

Quindi, tornando sulla terra, gli uomini fanno le loro affermazioni giocando

Giochi «Dove vanno».

Mentre è in paradiso, il creatore piange mentre le persone ascoltano

Alle reciproche bugie
