Pyre - NOTHING MORE

When you opened your eyes on the world for the first time as a child;

how brilliant the colors were;

what a jewel the sun was;

what marvel the stars;

how incredibly alive the trees were… And to love again and again,

and have people to whom we are deeply attached go to sleep and never wake up…

and the laughter echoes only in one’s mind… but then the echo goes…

the memory, the traces are all gone

All your efforts, all your acheivements, all your attainments turning into dust,

nothingness… what is the feeling?

what happens to you?

The idea of God as the potter, the architect of the universe, it makes you feel

that life is, after all, important, that there is someone who cares.

It has meaning, it has sense, and you are valuable in the eyes of the father.

But after a while it got embarrassing, the superstition, the myth,

the absolutely unfounded idea… why does anybody believe that?

So you become an atheist, and then you feel terrible after that because you got

rid of God… but that means you got rid of yourself, you’re just nothing but a

machine… And your idea that you’re a machine is just a machine too…

(a machine in the system)…

So if you think that that’s the way things are, you feel hostile to the world.

You feel that the world is a neurological trap into which you somehow got

caught… trapped… You run from the maternity ward to the crematorium and

that’s it… that’s it… So if you’re a smart kid you commit suicide

Now I want to propose another idea all together… The real you,

is not a puppet which life pushes around.

The real you, the real deep down you,

is the whole universe.

You cannot confine yourself to what happens inside the

skin.

Your skin doesn’t separate you from the world, it’s a bridge.

But just as a magnet polarizes its-self in north and south but its all one

magnet, so experience polarizes itself as «Self» and «Other», but it’s all one

What you call the «External world» is as much YOU as your own body.

Most people think that when they open they’re eyes and look around that what

they are seeing is outside… it seems, doesn’t it, that you are behind your

eyes.

We haven’t realized that life and death, black and white, good and evil,

being and non-being, come from the same center

When you look for your own particularized center of being which is separate

from everything else, you won’t be able to find it.

The only way you’ll know it

isn’t there is if you look hard enough, to find out that it isn’t there.

It isn’t there at all, there isn’t a separate you.

There are, in physical

reality, no such things as separate events

People can’t be talked out of illusions.

If a person believes that the earth is

flat, you can’t talk him out of that, he knows that it’s flat.

He’ll go down to

the window and see that its obvious, it looks flat.

So the only way to convince

him that it isn’t is to say, «Well let’s go and find the edge»

Quando hai aperto gli occhi sul mondo per la prima volta da bambino;

quanto erano brillanti i colori;

che gioiello era il sole;

che meraviglia le stelle;

com'erano incredibilmente vivi gli alberi... E amare ancora e ancora,

e fare in modo che le persone a cui siamo profondamente legati vadano a dormire e non si sveglino mai...

e la risata risuona solo nella mente... ma poi l'eco se ne va...

la memoria, le tracce sono tutte scomparse

Tutti i tuoi sforzi, tutte le tue conquiste, tutte le tue conquiste che si trasformano in polvere,

il nulla... qual è la sensazione?

cosa ti succede?

L'idea di Dio come vasaio, l'architetto dell'universo, ti fa sentire

che la vita è, dopo tutto, importante, che c'è qualcuno a cui importa.

Ha un significato, ha un senso e tu sei prezioso agli occhi del padre.

Ma dopo un po' è diventato imbarazzante, la superstizione, il mito,

l'idea assolutamente infondata... perché qualcuno ci crede?

Quindi diventi ateo e poi ti senti malissimo perché ce l'hai fatta

sbarazzati di Dio... ma questo significa che ti sei sbarazzato di te stesso, non sei altro che un

macchina... E anche la tua idea di essere una macchina è solo una macchina...

(una macchina nel sistema)...

Quindi se pensi che le cose stanno così, ti senti ostile al mondo.

Senti che il mondo è una trappola neurologica in cui in qualche modo sei caduto

catturato... intrappolato... corri dal reparto maternità al crematorio e

ecco... ecco... Quindi se sei un ragazzo intelligente ti suicidi

Ora voglio proporre un'altra idea tutti insieme... Il vero te,

non è un burattino che la vita spinge in giro.

Il vero te, il vero nel profondo di te,

è l'intero universo.

Non puoi limitarti a ciò che accade all'interno del

pelle.

La tua pelle non ti separa dal mondo, è un ponte.

Ma proprio come un magnete si polarizza a nord e sud, ma è tutto uno

magnete, quindi l'esperienza si polarizza come "Sé" e "Altro", ma è tutto uno

Quello che chiami il «mondo esterno» sei tanto TU quanto il tuo stesso corpo.

La maggior parte delle persone pensa che quando aprono sono gli occhi e si guardano intorno

stanno vedendo è fuori... sembra, non è vero, che tu sia dietro il tuo

occhi.

Non ci siamo resi conto che la vita e la morte, il bianco e il nero, il bene e il male,

essere e non essere provengono dallo stesso centro

Quando cerchi il tuo centro specifico dell'essere che è separato

da tutto il resto, non sarai in grado di trovarlo.

L'unico modo per saperlo

non c'è se cerchi abbastanza attentamente, per scoprire che non c'è.

Non c'è affatto, non c'è un te separato.

Ci sono, in fisico

realtà, niente cose come eventi separati

Le persone non possono essere dissuase dalle illusioni.

Se una persona crede che la terra lo sia

piatto, non puoi dissuaderlo, lui sa che è piatto.

Scenderà a

la finestra e vedi che è ovvio, sembra piatto.

Quindi l'unico modo per convincere

lui che non è è per dire: «Bene, andiamo a trovare il limite»
