Locker - One Last Thing

and so now

the end of the night comes

every time we say 'hi'

instead of running out

we should be showing how

the fear doesn’t have to beat you down

wide awake we draw these lines

convinced there’s another place; another time

to reconcile… make this far-off life worthwhile

this word evolution becomes meaningless

a mechanism we’ve created

a singular existence:

lock up (let's shut it down)

how could we be so blind,

thinking that our finite lives

are timeless

i swear it’s worth it to go back and recognize

the silence that we’ve put in place of speaking out

we should be showing how

the fear doesn’t have to beat you down

know dilema

in eyes that sparkle hatred

fresh ink on these distractions that make it:

so hard

so long

to reach anyone but yourself

so you can throw hard

but you still throw wrong

all it does is lock you up
