Don’t sit by river

Aren’t there to be picked up by poets who pass

To find them on bank

And I’m

Not built to deliver

When stepping stone love in need

Of a bridge or a plank

Youth

The stream so much wider

Thought you could slow down the flow

If you drank and you drank

Middle age

Still unable to find her

The words on the stone that you skimmed

So heavy it sank

The ripple

Hesitation creates

The unposted poem with message

So clear yet so blank

Love will come

Not to he who just waits

For mouthing from bank side seems safer

Than living in tank

Thoughs

We understand were preserved

Rotted and quickly moved on

To a less cluttered bed

Rust

Somethoughts never deserved

But treated no different to ones

You kept in your head

Couldn’t master me a classical piece

My brain’s well oiled buts its never been greased

Popular but not fighting for seats

Pays the rent but never the lease

Never classed as a work of art

Unlikely with the slowest of starts

Good progress if he ever tok part

Schooldays when you live by your heart

Those

Strong and able to survive

And so at the expense

Of fiction and art

Dissolve

Unnoticed to sea

As time eats the evidence left

That we even took part

Non sederti vicino al fiume

Non sono lì per essere prelevati dai poeti che passano

Per trovarli in banca

E io sono

Non progettato per fornire

Quando si fa un passo avanti nell'amore nel bisogno

Di un ponte o una tavola

Gioventù

Il flusso è molto più ampio

Pensavo potessi rallentare il flusso

Se hai bevuto e hai bevuto

Mezza età

Ancora incapace di trovarla

Le parole sulla pietra che hai scremato

Così pesante che affondò

L'ondulazione

L'esitazione crea

La poesia non pubblicata con il messaggio

Così chiaro eppure così vuoto

L'amore arriverà

Non a colui che aspetta

Perché parlare dalla sponda sembra più sicuro

Che vivere nel serbatoio

Pensieri

Comprendiamo che sono stati preservati

Marcio e rapidamente andato avanti

In un letto meno ingombrante

Ruggine

Alcuni pensieri non hanno mai meritato

Ma trattati in modo non diverso da quelli

Ti sei tenuto nella tua testa

Non riuscivo a padroneggiarmi un pezzo classico

Il mio cervello è ben oliato ma non è mai stato unto

Popolare ma non in lotta per i seggi

Paga l'affitto ma mai l'affitto

Mai classificato come un'opera d'arte

Improbabile con il più lento degli inizi

Buoni progressi se ha mai preso parte

Giorni di scuola in cui vivi con il tuo cuore

Quelli

Forte e in grado di sopravvivere

E così a spese

Della finzione e dell'art

Sciogliere

Inosservato al mare

Man mano che il tempo consuma le prove rimaste

Che abbiamo anche preso parte
