Children of the Heavenly Father

Safely in His bosom gather

Nestling bird nor star in heaven

Such a refuge e’er was given

God His own doth tend and nourish

In His holy courts they flourish

From all evil things He spares them

In His mighty arms He bears them

Neither life nor death shall ever

From the Lord His children sever

Unto them His grace He showeth

And their sorrows all He knoweth

Though He giveth or He taketh

God His children ne’er forsaketh

His the loving purpose solely

To preserve them pure and holy

Lo their very hairs He numbers

And no daily care encumbers

Them that share His ev’ry blessing

And His help in woes distressing

Praise the Lord in joyful numbers

Your Protector never slumbers

At the will of your Defender

Ev’ry foe man must surrender

Nido d'uccello né stella in paradiso

Un tale rifugio è sempre stato dato

Dio Suo cura e nutre

Nelle sue sante corti fioriscono

Da tutte le cose malvagie li risparmia

Nelle sue potenti braccia li porta

Né la vita né la morte lo faranno mai

Dal Signore i suoi figli separano

A loro mostra la sua grazia

E tutti i loro dolori li conosce

Anche se dà o prende

Dio i suoi figli non abbandonano mai

Il suo unico scopo d'amore

Per conservarli puri e santi

Lo loro stessi capelli Egli numera

E nessuna cura quotidiana grava

Coloro che condividono ogni sua benedizione

E il Suo aiuto nelle sventure angoscianti

Lodate il Signore in numero gioioso

Il tuo protettore non dorme mai

Alla volontà del tuo Defender

Ogni uomo nemico deve arrendersi

Figli del Padre celeste
