She used to see you in the lights

Like a lotus in blossom, glittering

Soft opossum dog hopeless in want

Searching, skin like a queen

Her silhouette hurts me though

Under the glove of recent moons

The waxy glow and silk cut jaws

All smothered by her charcoal snow

If I could take this ghost into me

Pulling inside tenderly, I could not

Nighttime skin, glistening and remembers

But the beating bird inside its lonely iron cage forgot

So alone this nocturne goes

Frail fluttering moments seeping out

Drink them in

Greedily as prose

By putrid, red wine stained stalls and cheap laughing candlelight

Before they are out of the reach of lips, and tumbling sweetly into the close

Ti vedeva sotto le luci

Come un loto in fiore, scintillante

Morbido cane opossum senza speranza

Cercando, pelle come una regina

La sua silhouette mi fa male però

Sotto il guanto delle lune recenti

Il bagliore ceroso e le mascelle tagliate di seta

Il tutto soffocato dalla sua neve di carbone

Se potessi prendere in me questo fantasma

Tirando dentro con tenerezza, non potevo

Pelle notturna, luccicante e ricorda

Ma l'uccello che picchiava dentro la sua solitaria gabbia di ferro se n'era dimenticato

Così solo questo notturno va

Fragili momenti svolazzanti che filtrano fuori

Bevili dentro

Avidamente come prosa

Dalle bancarelle putride macchiate di vino rosso e dalle risate a lume di candela a buon mercato

Prima che siano fuori dalla portata delle labbra e cadano dolcemente verso la chiusura
