The long-awaited rains

Have fallen hard on the thirsty ground

And carved their way to where

The wild and rushing river can be found

Oh and like the rains

I’m here where the river flows

My heart is racing, and my feet are weak as I walk to the edge

I know there is no turning back once my feet have left the ledge

And in the rush I hear a voice

That’s telling me it’s time to take a leap of faith

So here I go

I’m diving in, I’m going deep, in over my head I want to be

Caught in the rush, lost in the flow, in over my head I want to go

The river’s deep, the river’s wide, the river’s water is alive

So sink or swim, I’m diving in

There is a supernatural power

In this mighty river’s flow

It can bring the dead to life

And it can fill an empty soul

And give a heart the only thing

Worth living and worth dying for, yeah

But we will never know the awesome power of the grace of God

Until we let ourselves get swept away into this holy flood

If you take my hand

We’ll close our eyes and count to three and take the leap of faith

Sono caduti duramente sul suolo assetato

E si sono fatti strada fino dove

È possibile trovare il fiume selvaggio e impetuoso

Oh e come le piogge

Sono qui dove scorre il fiume

Il mio cuore batte forte e i miei piedi sono deboli mentre cammino verso il bordo

So che non si torna indietro una volta che i miei piedi hanno lasciato la sporgenza

E nella fretta sento una voce

Questo mi sta dicendo che è ora di fare un atto di fede

Mi sto tuffando, sto andando in profondità, dentro la mia testa voglio essere

Preso nella fretta, perso nel flusso, sopra la mia testa voglio andare

Il fiume è profondo, il fiume è largo, l'acqua del fiume è viva

Quindi affonda o nuota, mi sto tuffando

C'è un potere soprannaturale

Nel flusso di questo possente fiume

Può riportare in vita i morti

E può riempire un'anima vuota

E dai a un cuore l'unica cosa

Vale la pena vivere e per cui vale la pena morire, sì

Ma non conosceremo mai la straordinaria potenza della grazia di Dio

Fino a quando non ci lasciamo trascinare via da questo santo diluvio

Se mi prendi la mano

Chiuderemo gli occhi e conteremo fino a tre e faremo il salto di fede
