My giant body in this fine world

of thin lines and elegance

with quick words, behaved laughs

tears that shine from hurts

that are sore but sweet to soothe

my body knows just how to get

greedy as it is

kisses, bread and speedy cars

loud talks and clumsy hugs;

I never learned to wait

They mourn so sweet,

they work so hard they talk so slim

they walk so right they love so proper

hate so fine

if I could be like that

if I could cry like that

if I could laugh like that

if I could shrink

if I could put this body down

if I could chill my burning breasts

and turn myself around

my giant body stands here tall

how dare it take this form

I denied it, I forbade it

this giant body, loud and rude

is harboring a storm

of useless thoughts of petty moods

blowing me all down

Il mio corpo gigante in questo bel mondo

di linee sottili ed eleganza

con parole veloci, risate educate

lacrime che brillano per le ferite

che sono doloranti ma dolci da lenire

il mio corpo sa esattamente come ottenere

avido com'è

avido com'è

baci, pane e macchine veloci

discorsi rumorosi e abbracci goffi;

Non ho mai imparato ad aspettare

piangono così dolcemente,

lavorano così duramente che parlano così magro

camminano così bene che amano così bene

odio così bene

se potessi essere così

se potessi piangere così

se potessi ridere così

se potessi rimpicciolirmi

se potessi deporre questo corpo

se potessi raffreddare il mio seno in fiamme

e mi giro

il mio corpo gigante sta qui alto

come osa prendere questa forma

L'ho negato, l'ho proibito

questo corpo gigante, rumoroso e maleducato

sta ospitando una tempesta

di pensieri inutili di stati d'animo meschini

facendomi saltare in aria

Se potessi piangere così
