Rich Man - Rough Draft

Every day they had the simple needs

But every day was a struggle

They have the possibilities

Had no one but me and each other

And everyday I’d ask them,

Is it worth it in the end

Then my father turned and said

«Every year I make a living

And though the rich may call me sad

I’ve got my family beside me

And I’m alright with what I have,

Because I’m a rich man»

And everyday I’d questioned if it was true

I didn’t believe until the day

I met the family with a lot of money,

but they had no unity

Then I realized who I was and what I have

And what my father had meant

«Every year I make a living

And though the rich may call me sad

I’ve got my family beside me

And I’m alright with what I have,

Because I’m a rich man»

Throughout the years and for my son

I will teach of how we’ve lived on

Trust in God and one another

And just reach out to your brothers

Ogni giorno avevano i bisogni semplici

Ma ogni giorno era una lotta

Hanno le possibilità

Non avevo nessuno tranne me e l'un l'altro

E ogni giorno chiedevo loro,

Ne vale la pena alla fine

Poi mio padre si voltò e disse

«Ogni anno mi guadagno da vivere

E anche se i ricchi possono chiamarmi triste

Ho la mia famiglia accanto a me

E sto bene con quello che ho,

Perché sono un uomo ricco»

E ogni giorno mi chiedevo se fosse vero

Non ci ho creduto fino al giorno

Ho incontrato la famiglia con molti soldi,

ma non avevano unità

Poi ho capito chi ero e cosa ho 

E cosa intendeva mio padre

E anche se i ricchi possono chiamarmi triste

Nel corso degli anni e per mio figlio

Insegnerò come abbiamo continuato a vivere

Confidate in Dio e gli uni negli altri

E contatta i tuoi fratelli
