It’s getting colder, I felt the change today

And very soon, the summer birds will fly away

Folks say that summer, it felt so short this year

They all seemed unaware, that Autumn was so near

I feel a sadness, I have no peace of mind

Unwelcome thoughts deny, looking back I find

Memories now, are awakened, voices sounding near

Calling unto me, a message I must hear

This summer forever is past

With Autumn and harvest here,

The seed that was sown in the ground

It grew and now ripe appears,

The fields standing white, I can see

Think, how many souls there must be

It’s time now to gather in

I saw an old man, heard him say to me

He said «young friend, I’m older now

(as) everyone can see

Now weak and feeble, my hair is turning gray

Life quickly passed me by, the years just slipped away

Yet I was young once, so full of energy

I gave no thought or heed, what growing old would be

I felt a calling, never did respond

Now i wish I could, if life could be prolonged»

Too weak to gather in

The world is waiting, waiting now for me

So many questions asked, will never answered be

So many searching, don’t know what or why

(They) only sense the thing, their heart could satisfy

I know the answer, to what they’re asking me

I too was searching, and now the light can see

It is a duty, given onto me

To warn them not to wait, that they could be too late

When harvest forever is past

The winter is all that’s here

The life that was given to me, has faded and disappeared

No longer the fields I can see

The souls they now vanish from me

It’s too late to gather in

E molto presto gli uccelli estivi voleranno via

La gente dice che quell'estate sembrava così breve quest'anno

Sembravano tutti ignari che l'autunno fosse così vicino

Provo una tristezza, non ho pace mentale

I pensieri indesiderati negano, guardando indietro trovo

I ricordi ora sono risvegliati, le voci che suonano vicine

Chiamandomi, un messaggio che devo sentire

Questa estate per sempre è passata

Con l'autunno e il raccolto qui,

Il seme che è stato seminato nel terreno

È cresciuto e ora appare maturo,

I campi bianchi, li vedo

Pensa, quante anime devono esserci

È ora di riunirsi

Ho visto un vecchio, l'ho sentito dire a me

Ha detto «amico mio, ora sono più grande

(come) tutti possono vedere

Ora debole e debole, i miei capelli stanno diventando grigi

La vita mi è passata rapidamente accanto, gli anni sono semplicemente scivolati via

Eppure una volta ero giovane, così pieno di energia

Non ho pensato né badato a cosa sarebbe stato invecchiare

Ho sentito una chiamata, non ho mai risposto

Ora vorrei poterlo, se la vita potesse essere prolungata»

Questa estate per sempre è passata,

con l'autunno e il raccolto qui,

e ora appaiono maturi

I campi bianchi li vedo

Pensa, quante anime devono esserci

Troppo debole per radunarsi

Il mondo sta aspettando, aspetta ora me

Tante domande poste, che non avranno mai risposta

Tante ricerche, non so cosa o perché

(Loro) percepiscono solo la cosa, il loro cuore potrebbe soddisfare

Conosco la risposta, a ciò che mi stanno chiedendo

Anch'io stavo cercando e ora la luce può vedere

È un dovere, affidato a me

Per avvertirli di non aspettare, che potrebbero essere troppo tardi

Quando il raccolto per sempre è passato

L'inverno è tutto ciò che è qui

La vita che mi è stata data è svanita ed è scomparsa

I campi non sono più visibili

Le anime ora svaniscono da me

È troppo tardi per radunarsi
