I’m just doing some reflecting

Trying to choose a direction

What to do, what’s the next thing?

Where to move, where to settle in?

They say life is what you make of it.

And there’s lessons that you can take from it.

Why we always trying to escape something?

We think that grass is as green as shade,

So we pack up and leave a place

Go somewhere new and just repeat the phase.

I guess the truth is our green just fades.

Maybe we want what we can’t have

Maybe we fear what we can’t grasp,

Maybe we feel that we can’t ask.

So we stay here and that’s that.

Life is a journey, not a destination,

In such a hurry we seldom embrace it.

It’s not about your location, it’s where your heart

And your soul and your mind state is.

They work hard and never take a rest.

All they carry with them is the pain and stress.

It’s like a battle within to remain your best.

Sometimes you gotta take a step back

There’s a lot you wanna do,

But realize what you have.

It’s a cipher, not a line.

If you finally reach the top

Then you might run out of time.

That’s why I celebrate the victories

And I celebrate the obstacles.

That’s why I hope you take me seriously,

But appreciate the comical.

It’s a balance in that,

Like finding the good place

And channeling that.

I’m not singing sit back stagnant,

But you work damn hard,

Sometimes you just keep asking it.

Quindi rimaniamo qui e basta.

Ma renditi conto di quello che hai.

È una cifra, non una linea.

Se finalmente raggiungi la cima

Ecco perché festeggio le vittorie

E celebro gli ostacoli.

Ma apprezza il comico.

È un equilibrio in quello,

Come trovare il posto giusto

E canalizzarlo.
