It seems like it was just yesterday

We had to say we were sorry

And even though we don’t want to sin, we fall again every day

It feels like we’re pushing a rock that won’t move

We want to obey, but it’s so hard to do

But if Jesus is Lord, we can be sure

Sin’s not in charge anymore

And God’s love will lead us

One step at a time as we walk in the light

He’s faithful to keep us

One step at a time as He’s making us more like Christ

Sin, it camps like an enemy

That’s hidden deep down inside us

So, every day we still have to fight

To do what’s right, good, and true

But when we grow tired and want to give in

God gives us power to say «No» to sin

He changes our lives and opens our eyes

So we can bring glory to Christ

And God’s love will lead us
