The Greatest Illusion - Stolas

I gained the ability to fly.

It was the greatest freedom I’ve ever felt.

The skies opened up.

Any movement felt natural.

The wind wrapped around my skin,

gracing me with its presence.

With the Earth below, my body escaped the atmosphere.

The heavens unravelled their every mystery.

Time stood still.

I felt at peace.

Before I could speak, a dark thought wandered in:

I remembered the one I loved.

Upon my return, hastened in every way,

my body aged, and I could never find her.

I felt cursed in every bone.

The Earth began to pull upon my flesh.

It is here I will stay

until the gods bring her back.

Ho acquisito la capacità di volare.

È stata la più grande libertà che abbia mai provato.

I cieli si sono aperti.

Ogni movimento sembrava naturale.

Il vento ha avvolto la mia pelle,

graziandomi con la sua presenza.

Con la Terra al di sotto, il mio corpo è sfuggito all'atmosfera.

I cieli hanno svelato ogni loro mistero.

Il tempo si era fermato.

Mi sentivo in pace.

Prima che potessi parlare, un pensiero oscuro si insinuò:

Ho ricordato quello che amavo.

Al mio ritorno, affrettato in ogni modo,

il mio corpo è invecchiato e non sono mai riuscito a trovarla.

Mi sentivo maledetto in ogni osso.

La Terra ha cominciato ad attrarre la mia carne.

È qui che rimarrò

finché gli dei non la riporteranno indietro.
