Creepy-Crawlies - Tactile Gemma

If you dare to go deep into the forest

You might spot a pentangular house

In its middle a five — cornered living room

And on each corner a bedroom

And this is where they live peacefully together

Aranea, Bumblebee, Cicada, Daddy — longlegs, and Emmet

Strange noises aren’t frightening in daylight

But at night they become more and more eerie

The poor creepy — crawlies hide under thier dunes

To scared to sleep

Aranea pleads «Dear Bumblebee, comme sing me a lulllaby «And Bumblebee comes and Bumblebee buzzes

«Lully, lullay, you are safe, do not fear»

Untils Aranea sleeps.

Then Cicada squeaks

«Lulla lullaly, the moon is watching over you»

Until Cicada sleeps, then Emmet cheeps

«Sleep, sleep, you are spiralling dreamwards»

Untils Daddy — longlegs sleeps, then shudders

«Who will lull me?

«In despair Emmet wakes Aranea who drowsily chants

«Hush, hush, the sea of dreams is cradling you»

So the night goes by, taking turns sleepings and singing

At dawn Aranea wakes Bumblebee wakes Cicada wakes Daddy — longlegs wakes Emmet

And what was scary in the night in gone now, at least until dusk

I poveri inquietanti: i gattoni si nascondono sotto le loro dune

A paura di dormire

Aranea supplica «Caro Bumblebee, vieni a cantarmi una ninna nanna «E Bumblebee viene e Bumblebee ronza

«Lully, ninna nanna, sei al sicuro, non temere»

Finché Aranea non dorme.

Poi Cicada squittisce

«Ninna nanna, la luna veglia su di te»

Finché Cicada non dorme, poi Emmet brontola

«Dormi, dormi, stai girando a spirale verso il sogno»

Fino a papà: le gambe lunghe dormono, poi tremano

«Chi mi cullerà?

«Disperato Emmet sveglia Aranea che canta assonnata

«Silenzio, silenzio, il mare dei sogni ti sta cullando»

Così passa la notte, a turno dormendo e cantando

All'alba Aranea sveglia Bumblebee sveglia Cicada sveglia papà — le gambe lunghe sveglia Emmet

E ciò che era spaventoso nella notte se n'era andata ora, almeno fino al tramonto
