Erchomai - The Burial

There is an ache that cannot be eased

In this temporary home to which I have been leashed

It drives deep to the core, rattling the oldest of bones

It’s fanning the faintest of flames

And moving the greatest of stones

This primal cry, inscribed into my inner being

Is echoed in the foundations of this groaning word formed earth

This want can I so faintly know

In satisfaction of the seeing

The promises fulfilled by Him

By Him Who has all worth

The One who comes brings with Him judgement

The One who comes brings with Him wrath

Now I ask you this my brothers

Who could stand before that?

The One who comes brings with Him justice

The One who comes brings with Him mercy

How undeserved is His forgiveness

And to my ears is sounds so sweet

This, the fulfillment of Your wishes

The grand unfolding of Your plan

We see as through a glass lit dimly

Until He comes to take her hand

The Spirit and the bride say «Come!»

With all who hear and yet still thirst

Yet these things must take place first

C'è un dolore che non può essere alleviato

In questa casa temporanea in cui sono stato tenuto al guinzaglio

Spinge in profondità fino al midollo, facendo tintinnare le ossa più antiche

Sta accendendo la più debole delle fiamme

E muovere la più grande delle pietre

Questo grido primordiale, inscritto nel mio essere interiore

Risuona nelle fondamenta di questa parola lamentosa formata terra

Questo desiderio posso poi debolmente sapere

In soddisfazione della visione

Le promesse da Lui mantenute

Da Colui che ha tutto il valore

Colui che viene porta con sé il giudizio

Colui che viene porta con sé l'ira

Ora te lo chiedo, fratelli miei

Chi potrebbe resistere prima di questo?

Colui che viene porta con sé la giustizia

Colui che viene porta con sé la misericordia

Quanto è immeritato il suo perdono

E alle mie orecchie suona così dolce

Questo, l'adempimento dei tuoi desideri

Il grande dispiegamento del tuo piano

Vediamo come attraverso un vetro illuminato debolmente

Finché non verrà a prenderle la mano
