Christmas at the Zoo - The Flaming Lips, Peter Mokran

There wasn’t any snow on Christmas eve

And I knew what I should do

I thought I’d free the animals all locked up at the zoo

I opened up the fence where the peacocks were

The llamas were unleashed

The snakes and seals could all get out

But they refused to leave

All of the animals agreed

They’re not happy at the zoo

But they preferred to save themselves

They seemed to think they could

The elephants, orangutans

All the birds and kangaroos all said

«Thanks but no thanks man»

To be concerned is good

It started to snow on Christmas Eve

In the middle of the night

Walking through the state park zoo

And everything is white

Non c'era neve alla vigilia di Natale

E sapevo cosa dovevo fare

Ho pensato di liberare gli animali tutti rinchiusi allo zoo

Ho aperto il recinto dove c'erano i pavoni

I lama sono stati liberati

I serpenti e le foche potrebbero uscire tutti

Ma si sono rifiutati di andare

Tutti gli animali erano d'accordo

Non sono felici allo zoo

Ma hanno preferito salvarsi

Sembravano pensare di poterlo fare

Gli elefanti, gli oranghi

Tutti gli uccelli ei canguri dicevano

«Grazie ma no grazie amico»

Preoccuparsi è bene

Ha iniziato a nevicare la vigilia di Natale

Nel mezzo della notte

Passeggiando per lo zoo del parco statale

E tutto è bianco
