The Place I Love - The Jam

The place I love is a million miles away,

it’s too far for the eye to see

Still it’s me at least, and you can’t come there

No one is allowed at all

Only animals that love, will always, only, ever could be And it’s always at the back of my mind.

The place I love is overgrown now

With beautiful moss and colourful flowers

And goldfish that swim in a pool, there’s a small brick wall

With neon lighting controlled by lightning

I’m making a stand against the world

There’s those who would hurt us if they heard.

And its always in the back of my mind

The place I love is no where near here,

Not within a mile of those trendy do’s,

Where dogsbodies pick you up, and graciously give you a lift,

With cherished thoughts and bitterness.

Il posto che amo è a un milione di miglia di distanza,

è troppo lontano per essere visto dagli occhi

Comunque sono almeno io, e tu non puoi venire lì

Nessuno è consentito

Solo gli animali che amano, saranno sempre, solo, mai potrebbero essere ed è sempre nella parte posteriore della mia mente.

Il posto che amo è invaso ora

Con bellissimo muschio e fiori colorati

E i pesci rossi che nuotano in una piscina, c'è un piccolo muro di mattoni

Con illuminazione al neon controllata da fulmine

Sto prendendo una posizione contro il mondo

C'è chi ci farebbe del male se lo sentisse.

Ed è sempre nella parte posteriore della mia mente

Il posto che amo non è qui vicino,

Non entro un miglio da quelle cose da fare alla moda,

Dove i corpi dei cani ti vengono a prendere e ti danno gentilmente un passaggio,

Con pensieri cari e amarezza.

Sto prendendo una posizione contro il mondo,
