We’re all a stitch

Cut from the same thread

The thread weaves back through time

An umbilical line

From a fireside 400, 000 years ago

To all those who’ll be born tomorrow

And the needle’s eye’s no coincidence

And each stitch is blind to its consequence

We’re all a square of earth

Fertile with dreams and desires

And to dust we’ll all return

It’s a hard lesson to learn

That youth can’t conceive of its' ending

Until the back like the branch starts bending

Then a weariness falls without a sound

So stick your hands deep in the soil

The earthworm’s a marvel of industry and toil

We’re all pure energy

That can’t be created or destroyed

We just change from form to form

An electrical storm

That crackles with all the events of our lives

And from birth to death a spark survives

So soon enough we’ll meet the ground as lightening

To fire another day as it’s brightening

You did your best right to the end

Turned the machines off and let the breath expend

Una tempesta elettrica

Che crepita con tutti gli eventi delle nostre vite

E dalla nascita alla morte sopravvive una scintilla

Per sparare un altro giorno mentre si illumina
