Macnas Parade - The Saw Doctors

The streets were black with people twas the finest day so far

All watching for the creatures

On their way to Noah’s arc

She came hoppin' she came dancin'

Near the head of the parade

Twirling an umbrella

And singing about the rain

I saw her in the Macnas Parade

Singin' and dancen' as the drummers played

Hoppin' and skippin' sure

She made my day

I saw her in the

Macnas Parade

All the gang were rushing

To board at claddagh basin

There were preachers preaching

«Please repent»

And even snails were racin'

God watched it from above

A handshaped cloud

Descended from the sky

Nothing that i saw was

More pleasing to my eye

I saw her in the Macnas …

I saw her in the warick

The first Friday last week

I tried to ask her dancin'

But i could hardly speak

I wonder what they’ll think up

For the big parade next year

I’ll tell you wan thing

That’s for sure

I’ll be a volunteer

Le strade erano nere di gente, finora è stato il giorno più bello

Tutti a guardare le creature

In viaggio verso l'arco di Noè

È venuta saltellando, è venuta ballando

Vicino alla testa del corteo

Far roteare un ombrello

E cantando della pioggia

L'ho vista alla Macnas Parade

Cantando e ballando mentre suonavano i batteristi

Salta e salta di sicuro

Ha reso la mia giornata

Macna Parade

Tutta la banda stava correndo

Imbarcarsi al bacino di Claddagh

C'erano predicatori che predicavano

«Per favore, pentiti»

E anche le lumache stavano correndo

Dio lo guardava dall'alto

Una nuvola a forma di mano

Discende dal cielo

Niente di ciò che ho visto era

Più piacevole per i miei occhi

L'ho vista al Macnas...

L'ho vista nel warick

Il primo venerdì della scorsa settimana

Ho provato a chiederle di ballare

Ma non riuscivo a parlare

Mi chiedo cosa penseranno

Per la grande parata del prossimo anno

Ti dirò cosa pallida

Certamente

Sarò un volontariato
