The Teacher - The Statler Brothers

So Jesus and the twelve traveled all over Galilee

Not just preaching to the people, but teaching the people

And the crowds followed Him because He talked with authority

Like no one they had ever heard before

A Teacher came into the city

And Galilee was eager to hear

What the Teacher said, turned the people’s heads

And set the city right on it’s ear

He was holdin' class on a mountain

The class was intent on His word

The lesson on the mount was how to live and make it count

They listened and here’s what they heard

Blessed are the poor in spirit

That’s right, they will have the Kingdom of God

Blessed are they that mourn

Their shackles will be torn

And those who bear the cross of right, will have reward

«Blessed are the meek», said the Teacher

Yes, they will inherit the earth

Those who hunger for the right, will appease their appetite

Their cup will be filled, to quench their thirst

The Teacher was someone

Like no one that they’d seen before

The Teacher had somethin' about Him

They couldn’t ignore

The merciful will know of God’s mercy

The pure in heart will see the heart of God

Yeah, they will, and He went on to teach

The makers of the peace will be called the children of God

«Blessed are you», said the Teacher

When men persecute you and lie

Though it’s hard to take, if it’s for My sake

You will have reward by and by The Teacher was someone

Like no one that they’d seen before

The Teacher had somethin' about Him

They couldn’t ignore

The Teacher was a man called Jesus

He came to save us from sin

When you hear Him speak

And turn the other cheek

That’s an apple for the Teacher of men

Così Gesù e i dodici viaggiarono per tutta la Galilea

Non solo predicando alla gente, ma insegnando alla gente

E le folle lo seguivano perché parlava con autorità

Come nessuno che avesse mai sentito prima

Un insegnante è entrato in città

E Galilee era ansiosa di ascoltare

Ciò che il Maestro disse, fece girare la testa alla gente

E metti la città proprio sul suo orecchio

Stava tenendo lezione su una montagna

La classe era attenta alla Sua parola

La lezione sulla cavalcatura è stata come vivere e farla contare

Hanno ascoltato ed ecco cosa hanno sentito

Beati i poveri di spirito

Esatto, avranno il Regno di Dio

Beati coloro che piangono

Le loro catene verranno strappate

E coloro che porteranno la croce di diritto, avranno ricompensa

«Beati i miti», disse il Maestro

Sì, erediteranno la terra

Coloro che hanno fame del giusto, placheranno il loro appetito

La loro coppa sarà riempita, per soddisfare la loro sete

Il Maestro era qualcuno

Come nessuno che avessero mai visto prima

Il Maestro aveva qualcosa su di Lui

Non potevano ignorare

I misericordiosi conosceranno la misericordia di Dio

I puri di cuore vedranno il cuore di Dio

Sì, lo faranno, e Lui proseguì a insegnare

I creatori della pace saranno chiamati figli di Dio

«Beati te», disse il Maestro

Quando gli uomini ti perseguitano e mentono

Anche se è difficile da prendere, se è per amor mio

Avrai una ricompensa da e da L'insegnante era qualcuno

Come nessuno che avessero mai visto prima
