Dreams - The Streets

No idea of the time at all, I had a dream about a bicycle

Just the chain and pedals, not much detail, I recall

Choking on the Tylenol, my whole throat’s on fire

I drink as much as I can drink, I feel dire

The meaning of the dream is missing, watching TV won’t find it

The book some little shit nicked, that would have deciphered it

My mind’s stinging, sky’s chinking in, I might dip the blinds a bit

As channels change, time flicks, while I’m thinking

Sweat in every pore, clothes soaking and stewed

Then freezing cold and a shivering flu

Searing pain through to the back of my throat, sipping soup

My eyes hurt from all the tripping too

I put the covers back and swallow, swallow and feel hot

Why am I having this dream about this bicycle?

What?

My mind’s trying to slip me the wisdom it’s been thinking

But my body isn’t in the spirit to listen

My dreams teach me which dreams I need to seek

Reveal the deceits I speak but keep believing

But dreams speak in speech, scream and squeak to me

Which is the reason I’m weak to see what I need

The drugs are creeping in, they’re easing the grief

Relieving the fever, only leaving a week to use

Getting easier to deal with, it’s getting easier to breathe

I could even heave weed

Do two more of these beans, three of these

I’m breathing easier and I’ve seen what the dream means

The bike in my mind, the wheels are wheeling but I can leave it be

Settle on the channel pleasing me for once on the TV

I see what I asked of, I release the laptop

I’m not so madly cold, that’s gone

Pull the covers back, chuffed I’m over that

The answer was on my lap, I read it on the Net that

Says a dream about bicycles means you’re reeling 'round in cycles

And you need to leave things behind you

And I’m not filled with questions any more

I feel much better and blanker

The answer I kept asking for was to stop requesting answers

Non ho idea dell'ora, ho fatto un sogno su una bicicletta

Solo la catena e i pedali, non molti dettagli, ricordo

Soffocando con il Tylenol, ho tutta la gola in fiamme

Bevo quanto posso bere, mi sento terribile

Manca il significato del sogno, guardare la TV non lo troverà

Il libro ha scalfito un po' di merda, che l'avrebbe decifrato

La mia mente brucia, il cielo si sta facendo strada, potrei abbassare un po' le persiane

Man mano che i canali cambiano, il tempo scorre, mentre penso

Sudare in tutti i pori, vestiti in ammollo e stufati

Poi un freddo gelido e un'influenza da brividi

Dolore bruciante fino alla parte posteriore della gola, sorseggiando una zuppa

Anche i miei occhi mi fanno male per tutto lo scatto

Rimetto le coperte e ingoio, ingoio e sento caldo

Perché sto facendo questo sogno su questa bicicletta?

Che cosa?

La mia mente sta cercando di farmi sfuggire la saggezza a cui ha pensato

Ma il mio corpo non è nello spirito di ascoltare

I miei sogni mi insegnano quali sogni devo cercare

Rivela gli inganni di cui parlo ma continuo a credere

Ma i sogni mi parlano, urlano e squittiscono

Questo è il motivo per cui sono debole per vedere di cosa ho bisogno

Le droghe si stanno insinuando, stanno alleviando il dolore

Alleviare la febbre, lasciando solo una settimana da usare

Diventa più facile affrontare, sta diventando più facile respirare

Potrei persino sollevare erba

Fai altri due di questi fagioli, tre di questi

Sto respirando più facilmente e ho visto cosa significa il sogno

La bici nella mia mente, le ruote girano ma posso lasciarla stare

Accomodati al canale facendomi piacere per una volta in TV

Vedo cosa ho chiesto, rilascio il laptop

Non ho così pazzamente freddo, non c'è più

Tira indietro le coperte, sbuffato di averlo superato

La risposta era in grembo, l'ho letta in Rete che

Dice che un sogno sulle biciclette significa che stai andando in giro in bicicletta

E devi lasciarti le cose alle spalle

E non sono più pieno di domande

Mi sento molto meglio e più vuoto

La risposta che continuavo a chiedere era smettere di chiedere risposte
