we are caught by a thought that holds fast

onto a grain of resistance in our heads

and when we’re cought in a beam of light

we try to escape into either black or white

the world is more than this

there is more to it

even the colorblind

can spot a gradient

between black and white

between black and blue

between stories told

between lies and truth

let me sink to my knees

and let me burn bright

let me light up the city

and let me light up the night

when reality get’s conquered

and has to vacate a feeling

that used to be real and had some kind of meaning

then tell me: what’s the point of living

if life isn’t waht we’re feeling

rituals that are meant to perpetuate, hold and manifest a habit

in a cosy but fake habitat

I predict: you will fail

siamo presi da un pensiero che resiste

su un granello di resistenza nelle nostre teste

e quando siamo colpiti da un raggio di luce

proviamo a scappare in nero o in bianco

il mondo è più di questo

c'è di più

anche il daltonico

può individuare un gradiente

tra bianco e nero

tra il nero e il blu

tra le storie raccontate

tra menzogna e verità

fammi sprofondare in ginocchio

e fammi bruciare luminoso

fammi illuminare la città

e fammi illuminare la notte

tutto ciò che volevo,

ma si è rivelato essere

quando la realtà viene conquistata

e deve lasciare una sensazione

prima era reale e aveva una sorta di significato

poi dimmi: che senso ha vivere

se la vita non è come ci sentiamo

rituali che hanno lo scopo di perpetuare, mantenere e manifestare un'abitudine

in un habitat accogliente ma falso
