I have seen the kingdom vile

Where flames scorch the blackened sky

I saw this land of freezing dreams

In my dreams I flew with shadow wings

And I have seen a king arise

He rode in flames throughout the sky

This was a forsooth the one foretold

His face was veiled in dust and rime

I saw this vision

In my dreams

Where the fallen seems to rise again

On through the night

I saw him ride

He owned the sky

And his pride burned bright

And the dragon — whispered cold

Like a wind from the north

He opened gates — since aeons closed

And told me when twilight shall come

I have seen the kingdom vile

The serpent spread his wings

His eyes shone like the moon

«Be on with me», he droned

And through this forlorn night

A choir of doom was heard

The dragon rode the wind

And I was one with him

With shadow wings — I rule the sky

For aeons 'til eternity

I’ll break the world and challenge god

My sword is hunger, plague and sin

I knew my fate was written in the flames

Of the sky, in the fire of his eyes

In the flames of the dragon’s burning eyes

The vision was crystal clear

And yes, I felt the winds

The winds of time, for me they blew cold

And the dragon rode these winds

He flew through time, with shadow wings

Dove i caduti sembrano risorgere

Per tutta la notte

L'ho visto cavalcare

Possedeva il cielo

E il suo orgoglio ardeva luminoso

E il drago... sussurrò freddo

Come un vento da nord

Ha aperto i cancelli - da eoni chiusi

E mi ha detto quando verrà il crepuscolo

Ho visto il regno vile

Ho visto questa terra di sogni gelidi

Nei sogni volavo con ali d'ombra

E ho visto sorgere un re

Cavalcò in fiamme per il cielo

Questo era proprio quello predetto

Questa notte di venti di lutto

Il serpente spiegò le ali

I suoi occhi brillavano come la luna

«Sii d'accordo con me», mormorò

E attraverso questa notte disperata

Si udì un coro di sventura

Il drago cavalcava il vento

E io ero tutt'uno con lui

Con ali d'ombra — io governo il cielo

Per eoni fino all'eternità

Spezzerò il mondo e sfiderò Dio

La mia spada è fame, peste e peccato

Sapevo che il mio destino era scritto tra le fiamme

Del cielo, nel fuoco dei suoi occhi

Nelle fiamme degli occhi ardenti del drago

La visione era cristallina

E sì, ho sentito i venti

I venti del tempo, per me soffiavano freddi

E il drago cavalcava questi venti

Volò nel tempo, con ali d'ombra
