Many human beings I meet in the city

Seem so busy and self-absorbed

They look down on the street, their faces do not tell me

What they think or even what they feel

I walk through the streets and wonder why they seem

So distant and all alone

Is it easier that way and can they handle their day

Without sharing what’s going on

They walk and talk and they eat their meals

As fast as they can cause work is waiting again

They hurry and worry all day long

Until they finally go to sleep

I sit down on a bench, observe the passing people

How they move, how they act all weird

They can’t let loose, need to know all the news

Are addicted to all sorts of things

They care about their jobs and play perfect roles

Never admit to feel weak or low

How long can this go on?

They are fighting on their own

Losing hopes and dreams for good

This world is such a crazy place

It’s all about the come and go

People, where the hell are we heading to?

They walk and talk and they eat their meals

As fast as they can cause work is waiting again

They hurry and worry all day long

Until they finally go to sleep

Molti esseri umani che incontro in città

Sembri così impegnato ed egocentrico

Guardano in strada, i loro volti non me lo dicono

Cosa pensano o anche cosa provano

Cammino per le strade e mi chiedo perché sembrino

Così distante e tutto solo

È più facile in questo modo e possono gestire la loro giornata

Senza condividere quello che sta succedendo

Camminano, parlano e mangiano

Il veloce che possono far sì che il lavoro sia di nuovo in attesa

Si affrettano e si preoccupano tutto il giorno

Finché finalmente non vanno a dormire

Mi siedo su una panchina, osservo le persone che passano

Come si muovono, come si comportano in modo strano

Non possono lasciarsi andare, devono conoscere tutte le novità

Sono dipendenti da ogni sorta di cose

Si preoccupano del loro lavoro e interpretano ruoli perfetti

Non ammettere mai di sentirti debole o depresso

Per quanto tempo può andare avanti?

Stanno combattendo da soli

Perdere speranze e sogni per sempre

Questo mondo è un posto così folle

Si tratta di andare e venire

Gente, dove diavolo stiamo andando?

Camminano, parlano e mangiano

Il veloce che possono far sì che il lavoro sia di nuovo in attesa

Si affrettano e si preoccupano tutto il giorno

Finché finalmente non vanno a dormire
