Coney Island - Van Morrison

Coming down from Downpatrick

Stopping off at St. John’s Point

Out all day birdwatching

And the craic was good

Stopped off at Strangford Lough

Early in the morning

Drove through Shrigley taking pictures

And on to Killyleagh

Stopped off for Sunday papers at the

Lecale District, just before Coney Island

On and on, over the hill to Ardglass

In the jamjar, autumn sunshine, magnificent

And all shining through

Stop off at Ardglass for a couple of jars of Mussels and some potted herrings in case

We get famished before dinner

On and on, over the hill and the craic is good

Heading towards Coney Island

I look at the side of your face as the sunlight comes

Streaming through the window in the autumn sunshine

And all the time going to Coney Island I’m thinking,

Wouldn’t it be great if it was like this all the time.

Scendendo da Downpatrick

Sosta a St. John's Point

Fuori tutto il giorno per il birdwatching

E il craic era buono

Mi sono fermato a Strangford Lough

Di mattina presto

Ho guidato attraverso Shrigley per scattare foto

E su Killyleagh

Mi sono fermato per i giornali della domenica al

Distretto di Lecale, poco prima di Coney Island

Sempre più avanti, oltre la collina fino ad Ardglass

Nella jamjar, sole autunnale, magnifico

E tutto splende

Fermati ad Ardglass per un  paio di barattoli di cozze e alcune aringhe in vaso nel caso

Abbiamo fame prima di cena

Ancora e ancora, oltre la collina e il craic è buono

Dirigendosi verso Coney Island

Guardo il lato del tuo viso mentre arriva la luce del sole

Streaming attraverso la finestra sotto il sole autunnale

E tutto il tempo che vado a Coney Island penso,

Non sarebbe fantastico se fosse sempre così.
