What the fuck has to happen to you?

How does a moral compass get so skewed?

To think what you’re doing is justified?

The violence, the brutality

Honourable to your deity?

None of this makes any sense to me

This world is not your enemy

These ideas in these old pages have laid down roots

Poisoned the minds of our youth

So blinded by their rage that they can’t see the truth

Thousand year old dusty books

Interpreted by liars and crooks

Whatever you have done in the hopes of heaven

There’s no forgiveness for your transgressions

Is it the promise of heaven?

Or just the promise of a better future?

Or are you so insecure that you need to live forever?

Get it right the first time

'Cos when you close your eyes it’ll be the last time

Life is precious man

And if your God can’t see that then maybe he’s no God at all

Just a man who wrote a book that played into every insecurity that you ever felt

To excuse your behaviour

Your destructive human nature

If there’s any justice in this life

Maybe there will be a hell

Or at least somewhere that you will never rest

Come fa una bussola morale a diventare così distorta?

Pensare che quello che stai facendo sia giustificato?

La violenza, la brutalità

Onorevole alla tua divinità?

Niente di tutto ciò ha senso per me

Questo mondo non è tuo nemico

Queste idee in queste vecchie pagine hanno messo radici

Avvelenato le menti della nostra giovinezza

Così accecati dalla loro rabbia che non riescono a vedere la verità

Libri polverosi millenari

Interpretato da bugiardi e truffatori

Qualunque cosa tu abbia fatto nella speranza del paradiso

Non c'è perdono per le tue trasgressioni

È la promessa del paradiso?

O solo la promessa di un futuro migliore?

O sei così insicuro da dover vivere per sempre?

Fallo bene la prima volta

Perché quando chiuderai gli occhi sarà l'ultima volta

La vita è un uomo prezioso

E se il tuo Dio non può vederlo, allora forse non è affatto Dio

Solo un uomo che ha scritto un libro che ha giocato contro ogni insicurezza che tu abbia mai provato

Per scusare il tuo comportamento

La tua natura umana distruttiva

Se c'è giustizia in questa vita

Forse ci sarà un inferno

O almeno in un posto dove non ti riposerai mai
