Eagle of the night

changing his flight.

Oh, but for a moment as a butterfly

over midsummers green,

skimming beams of golden mirrored light …

To think is to be?

Suddenly sunshine,

suddenly I’m fine.

Escape from design,

just you and I.

There’s a river on the border line

with a presence of the Sea.

Oh, to sail the world with open eyes …

Or be kept from being free?

For all that I know maybe wrong;

and questions unsolved

but the eagle has flown.
