I’m sorry.

I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone.

I should like to help everyone if possible;

Jew, Gentile, black man, white.

We all want to help one another, human beings are like that.

We want to live by each others' happiness, not by each other’s misery.

We don’t want to hate and despise one another.

In this world there is room for everyone.

The good earth is rich and can

provide for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men’s souls;

has barricaded the world with hate.

We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in.

Our knowledge has made us cynical;

our cleverness, hard and unkind.

We think too much and feel too little.

More than machinery we need humanity.

More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.

Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of

despairing men, women, and little children, victims of a system that makes men

torture and imprison innocent people.

To those who can hear me, I say «Do not despair.»

The misery that has now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of

men who fear the way of human progress.

But We have lost the way.

Mi dispiace.

Non voglio governare o conquistare nessuno.

Se possibile, vorrei aiutare tutti;

Ebreo, gentile, nero, bianco.

Vogliamo tutti aiutarci a vicenda, gli esseri umani sono così.

Vogliamo vivere della reciproca felicità, non della reciproca miseria.

Non vogliamo odiarci e disprezzarci a vicenda.

In questo mondo c'è spazio per tutti.

La buona terra è ricca e può

provvedere a tutti.

Il modo di vivere può essere libero e bello, ma noi abbiamo perso la strada.

L'avidità ha avvelenato le anime degli uomini;

ha barricato il mondo con l'odio.

Abbiamo sviluppato la velocità, ma ci siamo chiusi dentro.

La nostra conoscenza ci ha resi cinici;

la nostra intelligenza, dura e scortese.

Pensiamo troppo e ci sentiamo troppo poco.

Più dei macchinari abbiamo bisogno di umanità.

Più che intelligenza, abbiamo bisogno di gentilezza e gentilezza.

Senza queste qualità, la vita sarà violenta e tutto sarà perso.

Anche ora la mia voce sta raggiungendo milioni di persone in tutto il mondo, milioni di persone

uomini, donne e bambini disperati, vittime di un sistema che fa uomini

torturare e imprigionare persone innocenti.

A coloro che possono ascoltarmi, dico: «Non disperare».

La miseria che ora ha su di noi non è altro che il passare dell'avidità, l'amarezza di

uomini che temono la via del progresso umano.

Ma abbiamo perso la strada.
