Goodbye - Western Settings

Old friend I cant stand this growing distance.

I often revisit, those sad six months when our lives got twisted, got real,

real good

making the world disappear, a bottle and good company is all we needed.

A phone call let you know I was back on the streets.

You paid my rent and told me then that we would never speak of this again.

the funny thing being is that the thing that mattered most was your head and

your heart and consistency.

Maybe another time and in another face, you’ll find it all right there,

the warmth and love you’re scared, is gonna disappear.

And in those hot, strange streets,

you’re gonna plant your world.

And when those years have passed nothing will change.

I guess we all go sometime.

Vecchio amico, non sopporto questa crescente distanza.

Rivedo spesso quei tristi sei mesi in cui le nostre vite si sono contorte, sono diventate reali,

veramente buono

far sparire il mondo, una bottiglia e una buona compagnia è tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno.

Una telefonata ti ha fatto sapere che ero di nuovo in strada.

Mi hai pagato l'affitto e mi hai detto che non ne avremmo mai più parlato.

la cosa divertente è che la cosa che contava di più era la tua testa e

il tuo cuore e la tua coerenza.

Forse un'altra volta e in un'altra faccia, troverai tutto proprio lì,

il calore e l'amore di cui hai paura scompariranno.

E in quelle strade calde e strane,

pianterai il tuo mondo.

E quando quegli anni saranno passati nulla cambierà.

Immagino che ci andremo tutti qualche volta.
