Once upon a time you could stroll all in the summer grass

But riding on the backs of mice, creatures came bringing danger,

And waited to attack all the legs that they could see.

But now it was safe for the rodents to return.

Far away the word was spread among the mouse population,

So they crept back to the lawns and fields with ticks all in their fur.

I formichieri arrivarono a dozzine e divorarono tutte le formiche di fuoco

Ma ha lasciato un pasticcio così spesso che non potevi camminare.

Dopo un po' l'erba era libera da topi, formiche e formichieri

E i bambini giocavano e si divertivano mentre i genitori falciavano il prato.

Ma un giorno, mentre camminava nei boschi, un bambino fu attaccato da un leone;

Quindi i cacciatori vennero e uccisero i gatti finché non se ne furono andati tutti.

Molti topi furono mangiati dai possenti leoni di montagna,

Ma ora era sicuro per i roditori ritornare.

Lontano la voce si sparse tra la popolazione dei topi,

Così tornarono strisciando verso i prati e i campi con le zecche tutte nella pelliccia.
