They’ve arrived

They’re here to rule us

Here to control us

They’re here to feed on us

They feed the hungry

But steal from the poor

They want to be served

But also adored

They walk among us

But slightly above us

There’s hardly a difference

They demand worship from us

Who’s gonna pull our strings?

And what do we do with our pride?

We’ll offer it up to the Earth Gods

They need our affection

They crave our attention

Let’s give them daily devotion

'Cause we don’t want them angry at us

They live in conversations

Whispered soft and envious

They give us meaning

A reason to keep on breathing

And all they want is our love

They eat fear and joy

Love and hate

Peace and war

They’re never satisfied, they want it all

They demand worship from everyone of us

Who’s gonna pull our strings?

And what do we do with our pride?

We’ll offer it up to the Earth Gods

No more mystery

Or praying to an unseen deity

I speak to Earth Gods constantly

They promise to keep me safe so I do what they say

It’s such a waste

Praying to a God that don’t exist

When you can meet them face to face

And they can decide what should be your fate

What an honor, what a privilege

They’ve chosen you, take advantage

So we can learn from them and maybe one day

We can be one of the Earth Gods

We can be just like them

Sono arrivati

Sono qui per governarci

Qui per controllarci

Sono qui per nutrirsi di noi

Danno da mangiare agli affamati

Ma ruba ai poveri

Vogliono essere serviti

Ma anche adorato

Camminano in mezzo a noi

Ma leggermente al di sopra di noi

Non c'è quasi una differenza

Ci chiedono adorazione

Chi tirerà le nostre fila?

E cosa facciamo con il nostro orgoglio?

Lo offriremo fino agli dei della Terra

Hanno bisogno del nostro affetto

Richiedono la nostra attenzione

Diamo loro la devozione quotidiana

Perché non vogliamo che si arrabbino con noi

Vivono nelle conversazioni

Sussurrato morbido e invidioso

Ci danno un significato

Un motivo per continuare a respirare

E tutto ciò che vogliono è il nostro amore

Mangiano paura e gioia

Amore e odio

Pace e guerra

Non sono mai soddisfatti, vogliono tutto

Richiedono adorazione da ognuno di noi

Chi tirerà le nostre fila?

E cosa facciamo con il nostro orgoglio?

Lo offriremo fino agli dei della Terra

Niente più mistero

O pregare una divinità invisibile

Parlo costantemente con gli dei della Terra

Promettono di tenermi al sicuro, quindi faccio quello che dicono

È un tale spreco

Pregare un Dio che non esiste

Quando puoi incontrarli faccia a faccia

E possono decidere quale dovrebbe essere il tuo destino

Che onore, che privilegio

Hanno scelto te, approfittane

Così possiamo imparare da loro e forse un giorno

Possiamo essere uno degli dei della Terra

Possiamo essere proprio come loro
