I think of art in weird terms

I really believe that art and expression should be limitless

And you should be able to explore themes that are grotesque or dark

And engage with those thoughts and just put them down and look at them like

they are

'Cause at the day of the day you aren’t your thoughts or your feelings

Your actions are the most important things about you

And I think CANADA for me was a good sign of that

That song came out of a dark place and I put it out into the world and I love it

But at the same time that’s not me, I think through that I figured out a lot

about my art

And a lot about these fucked up thoughts that I can have and that we all have

I think it’s important to engage with those and at least try and sort 'em out,

try and do something better

I think on a song like TTYL that’s me at my rawest

I wrote that song shortly after my ex got engaged and it finally felt

It finally felt like I was able to let go of a situation that was super dark

and cloudy and fucked up

In a very beautiful way

And that’s what this project’s about, it’s like

Although you have these dark thoughts or feelings or bad days

As long as you don’t encompass that in your being, that’s not you

This is MISOGYNY

Credo davvero che l'arte e l'espressione debbano essere illimitate

sulla mia arte

E molto su questi pensieri incasinati che posso avere e che tutti abbiamo

Penso che sia importante impegnarsi con quelli e almeno provare a risolverli,

prova a fare qualcosa di meglio

Penso a una canzone come TTYL che sono io al massimo

Ho scritto quella canzone poco dopo il fidanzamento del mio ex e finalmente si è sentito

Alla fine mi sono sentito come se fossi in grado di lasciar andare una situazione che era super oscura

e nuvoloso e incasinato

In un modo molto bello

Ed è di questo che tratta questo progetto, è come

Anche se hai questi pensieri o sentimenti oscuri o brutte giornate

Finché non lo racchiudi nel tuo essere, quello non sei tu
