Lifeline - Sacrilege

Through innocent minds the knife guides in,

Cutting the lifeline to sanity,

Replacing lives with possessions and greed,

Like blind children we search frantically.

Our hands claw the air for peace and light,

But were offered dust blackness and rage.

A new life screams as it takes it’s first breath,

Soon traped in it’s ready made cage,

Through innocent flesh the knife guides in,

Cutting the lifeline with ease,

Replacing life with the foul stench of death,

On the fresh blood they now start to feed.

They’ve taken the earth as they now take the life,

Cold concrete replaces warm soil,

We sit in the corners, minds twisted with fear,

For a world we shall soon see no more

Tagliando l'ancora di salvezza alla sanità mentale,

Sostituendo vite con possedimenti e avidità,

Come bambini ciechi, cerchiamo freneticamente.

Una nuova vita urla mentre prende il suo primo respiro,

Presto intrappolato nella sua gabbia pronta,

Eppure gli viene offerta oscurità di polvere e rabbia.

Attraverso la carne innocente guida il coltello,

Tagliare l'ancora di salvezza con facilità,

Sostituendo la vita con il fetore ripugnante della morte,

Con il sangue fresco ora iniziano a nutrirsi.

Hanno preso la terra come ora prendono la vita,

Il cemento freddo sostituisce il terreno caldo,

Ci sediamo negli angoli, le menti contorte dalla paura,

Per un mondo che presto non vedremo più
