The person I’ve become

Is no longer fooled by the mask that he once wore

Disgusted with the concepts thought acceptable

Silencing any sort of voice

Sat and watched while allowing others to reign with no repercussions

How am I to protect you?

How am I to keep you safe?

While I continue to be this man

I’ve let the poison seep in

Let all that has consumed take control and let that person die

Rise from the blasphemy that made me wise

With those values I once felt were okay to turn a blind eye and allow

I deserved to feel that way

I was better off abandoned

Non è più ingannato dalla maschera che indossava una volta

Disgustato dai concetti ritenuti accettabili

Silenziare qualsiasi tipo di voce

Mi sono seduto e guardato mentre consenti agli altri di regnare senza ripercussioni

Come devo proteggerti?

Come faccio a tenerti al sicuro?

Mentre io continuo a essere quest'uomo

Ho lasciato filtrare il veleno

Lascia che tutto ciò che ha consumato prenda il controllo e lascia che quella persona muoia

Alzati dalla bestemmia che mi ha reso saggio

Con quei valori che una volta pensavo fosse giusto chiudere un occhio e permettere

Meritavo di sentirmi così

Sarebbe stato meglio essere abbandonato
