Premonitory Dream - Crying

Spit in the water, not sure why

My feet are sweating as this neck cranes

Downward, in search of where I went

Tried to leave a piece of me there in case I forget

From the dark it appeared

A splendid mystery, oh, it drew me near

Towards a path far from home

And I knew I had to go forth alone

Deep in the heart of this lone bridge

A sudden terror overtook me

Continue blindly or turn back

At risk of burdening the wood and rope I’d already passed?

Somehow I fought

Back against uncertainty

The harsh bite of jealousy

Prayers she had sent for me

To embark upon

Something they had never done

Out of fear

Fear of pain

But keeping static felt exactly the same

From underneath, the dark waves riled

After a wind blew by, removing

A pair of glasses from my face

And it occurred to me it wasn’t worth just staying in place

Sputare nell'acqua, non so perché

I miei piedi stanno sudando mentre questo collo si allunga

Verso il basso, alla ricerca di dove sono andato

Ho cercato di lasciare un pezzo di me lì nel caso me ne dimentico

Dal buio è apparso

Uno splendido mistero, oh, mi ha avvicinato

Verso un sentiero lontano da casa

E sapevo che dovevo andare da solo

Nel profondo del cuore di questo ponte solitario

Un terrore improvviso mi colse

Continua alla cieca o torna indietro

Rischio di appesantire il legno e la corda che avevo già superato?

In qualche modo ho combattuto

Indietro contro l'incertezza

Il morso duro della gelosia

Preghiere che aveva mandato per me

Per imbarcarsi

Qualcosa che non avevano mai fatto

Per paura

Paura del dolore

Ma mantenere la staticità sembrava esattamente lo stesso

Da sotto, le onde scure infastidivano

Dopo che un vento è passato, la rimozione

Un paio di occhiali dal mio viso

E mi è venuto in mente che non valeva la pena restare al proprio posto
