Floe - Dirge

I, the ice

Clutching the tree

I, the devourer

Of time and beauty

I bleed your ears

With sirens' and seers'

Deafening cries

Green fairy trapped in the glass

Struggles, tries to catch the rim

Slips down then drowns

As i flee ether moons

I spit on opiate fumes

And dreams

Lurking in shadow of a doubt

I feel the gnawing plague

That stands slowly

In backwash waves

I wait for a crack in the floe

Across dusty fields

Under stones and ruins

Crushed by fear

And cascading bodies

I will try to wake

Lest i forget

Remind me one day

The beauty in me

Along arcades of ice

And statues gleaming

Behind granite mask

And alabaster skin

I’ll lose myself again

Among hundreds of trees

But forgive someday

The steely floe within

Io, il ghiaccio

Stringendo l'albero

Io, il divoratore

Del tempo e della bellezza

Ti sanguino le orecchie

Con sirene e veggenti

Grida assordanti

Fata verde intrappolata nel vetro

Lotta, cerca di prendere il bordo

Scivola giù e poi annega

Mentre fuggo dalle lune dell'etere

Sputo su fumi di oppiacei

E sogni

In agguato all'ombra di un dubbio

Sento la piaga che rosicchia

Che sta lentamente

In onde di risacca

Aspetto una crepa nel lastrone

Attraverso campi polverosi

Sotto pietre e rovine

Schiacciato dalla paura

E corpi a cascata

Proverò a svegliarmi

Per non dimenticare

Ricordami un giorno

La bellezza in me

Lungo i portici di ghiaccio

E le statue scintillanti

Dietro la maschera di granito

E pelle d'alabastro

Mi perderò di nuovo

Tra centinaia di alberi

Ma perdona un giorno

Il lastrone d'acciaio all'interno
