Cross examined while my hands were busy closing things up into deserts

that he’s only read about in winter weather

and i’m able to fill the gaps that act as traps in the lyrics of letters

when mirrors open i bet he thinks i’ll enter

but i detect ulterior motives in his hidden agenda

we live forever in these chairs comparing mental notes

bodies doubling as temporary captains of a rented boat

My paper mate sent me to her folks in an envelope

disguised as insurance fraud, some things were never meant to float

and the experience must be something close to this

Sono stato avvisato del dono che ha ricevuto e del tipo di cose che vede

Stavo aspettando che mostrasse la sua mano

quindi mi sono corretto, seduto sulla mia sedia eretto e attento

Cosa l'ha tradito: i miei arti da poker?

Esaminato mentre le mie mani erano impegnate a chiudere le cose nei deserti

di cui legge solo in inverno

e sono in grado di riempire le lacune che fungono da trappole nei testi delle lettere

quando gli specchi si aprono scommetto che pensa che entrerò

ma rilevo ulteriori motivi nella sua agenda nascosta

viviamo per sempre su queste sedie confrontando note mentali

corpi che raddoppiano come capitani temporanei di una barca noleggiata

Il mio compagno di giornale mi ha mandato dai suoi genitori in una busta

travestite da frode assicurativa, alcune cose non sono mai state destinate a fluttuare

non sono mai stato in un naufragio ma so che esistono

e l'esperienza deve essere qualcosa di simile a questo

sensazione senza speranza che viene trascinata dagli oceani per le emozioni

mi ha fatto stringere la mano con un pugno aperto

un'anima intrappolata dalla mia mente si paralizza

deve essere stato quando ha sviluppato quella brutta vista

non aiutano, ha bisogno di un elmo con una luce flash

se pensa di poter entrare nell'oscurità a metà prezzo

per trovare l'abito da sposa nero di sua figlia della sua vita passata

le tradizioni sono morte ieri sera alla nostra festa in una casa stregata
