The night shade

A dark colonnade

The cypress, then the shore…

I sought comfort in the foam

The wind heals the pain

A pale November rises

You know how the days gone by

Even night sought shelter

Under the plain masks of daylight

Bitterness we wait…

We ate the fruits of rainy hours

As Ulysses looking seaward

We mocked our innermost abodes

We sailed on older seas

And reached the bounds of deepest water

A wreckage in the rain

But the wind heals the pain

Un colonnato scuro

Il cipresso, poi la riva...

Ho cercato conforto nella schiuma

Il vento guarisce il dolore

Sorge un pallido novembre

Sai come sono passati i giorni

Anche la notte ha cercato riparo

Sotto le semplici maschere della luce del giorno

Amarezza che aspettiamo...

Abbiamo mangiato i frutti delle ore di pioggia

Come Ulisse che guarda verso il mare

Abbiamo deriso le nostre dimore più nascoste

Abbiamo navigato per mari più antichi

E ha raggiunto i limiti dell'acqua più profonda

Un relitto sotto la pioggia

Ma il vento guarisce il dolore
