snow falls

another cold day

waiting for spring

waiting for him

he is a gold thread

pulling me thru

the long winter

I want to tell him

how I feel when I’m falling

how my heart races

just to know that he’s calling

But I don’t want to scare him

overwhelm him

he’s a strange bird

so I take it slowly

just a flutter and some words

my words are embers

warming him thru

another cold december

when he’s awake

another sleepless night

i know he’s thinking of me

I want to ask him

if he feel like he’s falling

does his heart race

just to know that he’s calling me

but I don’t want to scare him
