White, Orange and Green - Mysteria

In the bold Gautea Mountains, so far far away

I’ll tell you a story that happened one day

about a young girl, her age was 16

and she carried a banner:

white orange and green.

And a young English soldier was passing that way

and saw the young girl with her banner so gay

he laughed and he joked and got off his machine

determined to capture white orange and green.

«Well, you can’t have my banner» the young girl replied

«Till your blood and mine on the bold Gauteas lie,

for I am a rebel and that’s nothing mean

and I’d lay down my life for white orange and green».

And the young English soldier turned white as the snow

got on his machine and away he did go

for there’s no use in fighting a girl of 16

who would die for a banner, white orange and green.

Nelle ardite montagne della Gautea, così lontano

Ti racconterò una storia accaduta un giorno

su una ragazzina, la sua età aveva 16 anni

e portava uno striscione:

bianco arancio e verde.

E un giovane soldato inglese stava passando da quella parte

e ho visto la fanciulla con il suo stendardo così gaia

rideva e scherzava e scendeva dalla macchina

determinato a catturare il bianco, l'arancione e il verde.

«Beh, non puoi avere il mio stendardo» rispose la ragazza

«Finché il tuo sangue e il mio giacciono sull'audace Gautea,

perché sono un ribelle e questo non significa niente

e darei la vita per il bianco, l'arancione e il verde».

E il giovane soldato inglese divenne bianco come la neve

salì sulla sua macchina e se ne andò

perché è inutile combattere una ragazza di 16 anni

che morirebbe per uno stendardo, bianco arancio e verde.
