Distant voices begin to sing

«Now the fire’s burning, let the fire spread

So those who think they live will realise that they are dead

Over eons, over centuries

It has taken many names for the Spirit of the Ancient is the fire within the

flames

Let mankind burn with the fire of the Spirit.»

Following the golden path towards the burning tree

I pause before I enter within the castle walls

As darkness dies the light of truth is revealed

I genuflect to worship at the throne of life

«I have followed your quest with great interest»

Said the King as I raise my eyes to meet his

«Many have stood where you stand and many will stand there in latter days.»

The Firetree, the tree that burns whilst it is never consumed

The Firetree on which a man died to bring life to mankind

Who was he, that man that died?

Who was he?

«That man was God.»

I came before the throne seeking truth and life but

As everything in my life begins to fall into place

I learn from the King that in death there is life

To die to one’s self is the truth of salvation and eternal life

The King addressed me once more saying

«Once you were yours but now you are mine

You have my permission to die

Go now and die to yourself.»

And with that, in obedience to the King, I stepped into the pool of water

Shedding my old garments

And moving further into the depths as the water engulfed me

That day, I entered into a new life and

In the presence of the almighty King, was born again

Voci lontane iniziano a cantare

«Ora il fuoco sta bruciando, si diffonda il fuoco

Quindi coloro che pensano di vivere si renderanno conto di essere morti

Nel corso degli eoni, nel corso dei secoli

Ha preso molti nomi perché lo Spirito dell'Antico è il fuoco dentro il

Che l'umanità bruci con il fuoco dello Spirito».

Seguendo il sentiero d'oro verso l'albero in fiamme

Mi fermo prima di entrare tra le mura del castello

Man mano che le tenebre muoiono, la luce della verità viene rivelata

Mi genufletto per adorare al trono della vita

«Ho seguito la tua ricerca con grande interesse»

disse il re mentre alzo gli occhi per incontrare i suoi

«Molti sono rimasti dove sei tu e molti staranno là negli ultimi giorni.»

Il Firetree, l'albero che brucia mentre non viene mai consumato

L'albero di fuoco su cui è morto un uomo per dare vita all'umanità

Chi era, quell'uomo che è morto?

Chi era lui?

«Quell'uomo era Dio».

Sono venuto davanti al trono cercando la verità e la vita ma

Man mano che tutto nella mia vita inizia a mettersi a posto

Imparo dal Re che nella morte c'è la vita

Morire a se stessi è la verità della salvezza e della vita eterna

Il re si rivolse a me ancora una volta dicendo

«Una volta eri tuo ma ora sei mio

Hai il mio permesso di morire

Vai ora e muori a te stesso.»

E con ciò, in obbedienza al re, entrai nella pozza d'acqua

Perdendo i miei vecchi indumenti

E spostandomi più in profondità mentre l'acqua mi inghiottiva

Quel giorno, entrai in una nuova vita e

Alla presenza dell'onnipotente Re, è rinato
