With Lifted Eyes - Saving Grace

The vision beheld is one of terror and of glory.

And every knee bows and every tongue confesses.

So do the mountains crumble into silent awe.

Creations groaning stills…

It gazes and as His brilliance pierces the dark, It flees.

His presence overwhelms all.

His majesty.

(Oh, His glory. Hallelujah!)

(Hosannah!)

And as the sky rolls up and the stars begin to fall…

as the valleys rise up and the high places bow…

His people, with lifted eyes, raise hands

and voices and we scream, we sing:

The King… The King is coming!

(The King is coming!)

[This is the moment that every follower of Christ has both dreaded and

anticipated for the past two thousand years.

Jesus warned that He will

«come like a thief» (Rev 16:15), thus we should be ready as were the five

wise virgins that He spoke of in Matthew 25 so that we are not told «I do

not know you» and cast out into eternal darkness.]

La visione che si vede è quella di terrore e di gloria.

E ogni ginocchio si piega e ogni lingua confessa.

Così le montagne si sgretolano in uno stupore silenzioso.

Creazioni che gemono ancora...

Guarda e mentre il suo splendore trafigge l'oscurità, fugge.

La sua presenza travolge tutto.

Sua Maestà.

(Oh, la Sua gloria. Alleluia!)

E mentre il cielo si alza e le stelle iniziano a cadere...

mentre le valli si innalzano e gli alti luoghi si inchinano...

Il suo popolo, con gli occhi alzati, alza le mani

e voci e urliamo, cantiamo:

Il re... Il re sta arrivando!

(Il re sta arrivando!)

[Questo è il momento che ogni seguace di Cristo ha sia temuto che

previsto negli ultimi duemila anni.

Gesù avvertì che lo farà

«vieni come un ladro» (Ap 16,15), quindi dobbiamo essere pronti come lo erano i cinque

vergini sagge di cui ha parlato in Matteo 25 in modo che non ci venga detto «lo

non ti conosco» e scacciati nelle tenebre eterne.]
