I’ve got some caps and loading gear and pegs to peg skins out

I’ve got myself a Markee tent and all the gear to camp

even got a kero fridge and a tilly lamp

got a month’s supply of tucker and a big camp oven too

soon I’ll be in business shootin' kangaroos

Go’n to hunt at night time

when the roos come out to feed

hold 'em with the spot light while I draw a bead

taking skins by lamplight, then by day I’ll rest

goin' to be a big shot in the mighty west

When I see a dingo, then his scalp he’ll lose

just a little sideline to the kangaroos

even sportin' fox scalps and the wild pigs' snouts

Now if the skins aren’t bringin' prices like they should

maybe lots of paddy bags and the pelts no good

well then I’ll work the freezers and shoot for carcases

Oh, ho un 30-25 e un oscilloscopio

Mi sono procurato una 4 ruote motrici e un cuore pieno di speranza

Ho dei cappucci, equipaggiamento di carico e pioli per fissare le skin

Andando a fare fortuna, sparando a roos fuori

Mi sono procurato una tenda del mercato e tutta l'attrezzatura per il campeggio

ho persino un frigorifero Kero e una lampada Tilly

ho avuto una fornitura per un mese di tucker e anche un grande forno da campo

presto sarò in attività a sparare ai canguri

Vai a cacciare di notte

quando i roos escono per nutrirsi

tienili con il faretto mentre disegno una perlina

prendendo le pelli alla luce della lampada, poi di giorno mi riposerò

diventerà un pezzo grosso nel potente occidente
