From Wolf to Peacock - The Vision Bleak

Since the first of hours, of childhood and thereon

In all my views and pond’rings, I have felt alone

Beauty I had savored in other sights than all

And a twisted grandeur I’ve seen in things that fall

I always found fulfillment, being on my own

And in my plays and passions I hit my distinct tone

From their source of delights, peace I never found

But from deep within me, my true self was unbound

Enter the wolf!

Night hunt, so cold!

Wolf heart, so lone!

Soul eyes, so blind!

Dark star, so bright

Sprawling was my anger, being chained to their

Notions uniforms and ambitions so austere

But that wrath transcended to a thing divine

Creations and catharsis and pride, they were all mine

Pride alike the peacock, I felt it to the core

From every cell and marrow, its results did outpour

Like the bird’s adornment the wheel magnificent

It had manifested in beauty of no end

Now spread thy wheel!

Sin dalle prime ore, dell'infanzia e oltre

In tutti i miei punti di vista e i miei confronti, mi sono sentito solo

La bellezza che avevo assaporato in altri luoghi

E una grandezza contorta che ho visto nelle cose che cadono

Ho sempre trovato appagamento, stando da solo

E nei miei giochi e nelle mie passioni trovo il mio tono distinto

Dalla loro fonte di delizie, pace che non ho mai trovato

Ma dal profondo di me, il mio vero io era sciolto

Entra il lupo!

Caccia notturna, che freddo!

Cuore di lupo, così solitario!

Occhi dell'anima, così ciechi!

Stella scura, così luminosa

La mia rabbia era tentacolare, essendo incatenata alla loro

Nozioni uniformi e ambizioni così austere

Ma quell'ira trascendeva in una cosa divina

Creazioni, catarsi e orgoglio, erano tutte mie

Orgoglio come il pavone, l'ho sentito fino in fondo

Da ogni cellula e midollo, i suoi risultati si riversarono

Come l'ornamento dell'uccello la ruota magnifica

Si era manifestato in una bellezza senza fine

Ora allarga la tua ruota!
