I miss Grandma 'cause Grandma isn’t here

I haven’t seen or talked to her for at least a year.

She used to take me shopping, then we’d go out to eat,

She’d buy me a Coca Cola and complain about the heat.

I’d complain about the way she’d chew with her false teeth,

How she didn’t drive her car right and would embarrass me.

But Grandma would listen to me;

she taught me to be fair.

She was the best friend that I had, we’d go everywhere.

Sometimes I would make her laugh and sometimes she would cry.

She never really felt too well, after Grandpa died.

Non la vedo né le parlo da almeno un anno.

Mi portava a fare la spesa, poi uscivamo a mangiare,

Mi comprava una Coca Cola e si lamentava del caldo.

Mi lamenterei del modo in cui masticava con la dentiera,

Come non guidava bene la sua macchina e mi metteva in imbarazzo.

Ma la nonna mi ascoltava;

mi ha insegnato ad essere giusto.

Era la migliore amica che avessi, andavamo ovunque.

A volte la facevo ridere ea volte piangeva.

Non si è mai sentita troppo bene, dopo la morte del nonno.

Mi manca la nonna, perché la nonna non è qui.
