Because I’m going to say the exact opposite of what the world

Today’s world is saying

So, we read a bunch of books nowadays

As humans we —

We want to find out how to be

Someone else

What we don’t do is we don’t go inside;

So literally turn yourself inside out

Like we’re writing a book every day of our life’s

But we never read that book

You have to look inside of yourself to see what you really want?

What are you passionate about?

We use these words and little phrases of «only the strong survive»

And all this other crap

They are all just fucking words.

I get so tired of hearing people just talking

Like right now, someone may think;

«Goggins just talking.»

So, when I speak, I speak from passion, I speak from experience

I speak from suffering

I speak from suffering

The only way you’re ever going to get to the other side of this journey

Is you have got to suffer

To grow

To grow you must suffer

Some people will get it and some people won’t

Some people will get it and some people won’t

But they have to see what their journey is to start their journey

Some people will get it and some people won’t

Several people live to be a hundred years old

And they have great lives

And they have great kids and those kids go to college

And all that sort of stuff

But somewhere in their lives there was a point where they had a decision to

make;

They can go left or right on this path

Left was the easy route

Right was the hard route

A lot of people take the easy route

And they had a good life that way

But the better life was going to the right side

And you may have 20 years of pain and suffering to get past it

But a lot of us die never truly starting our journey

And you got to start your journey

It may suck, but it will

Come out the other side, we’re coasting

The only way you’re ever going to get to the other side of this journey

Is you have got to suffer

Everyday we’re seeing who we are as people

When I was growing up

I lied for people to accept me because I didn’t accept myself

So I would make up stories, so you would accept me into your world

Everything I did was for someone else to like me

It wasn’t until I started reading my own book about how pathetic I was as a

human being

I could blame my dad, I could blame kids at school, I could blame having health

issues ADD, with my mom not being around

Great mom but she was doing here thing

I could blame a lot of people

And that’s the book I was reading and I put it off on everybody else

It wasn’t until I said;

«You know what for me to fix this I got to read what the fuck is wrong with

David Goggins.»

And not blame anybody

Read my book, it’s okay I’m afraid of my shadow

How can I overcome that?

Go in the military, get your ass kicked, do things that you hate to do Be

uncomfortable every fucking day of your life

Roger that

I’m not the smartest kid in the world

Okay, instead of somebody saying;

«Oh no, you’re smart.

Oh no no,

don’t say that to yourself.»

I said to myself;

«I'm a dumb motherfucker»

Okay, Roger that

How you get smarter?

Educate yourself

So, the things that we run from we’re running from the truth

We’re running from the truth, man

So, the only way I became successful was going towards the truth

As painful, as brutal, as it is

It changed me

It allowed me to become

In my own right

Who I am today

I speak from suffering

Perché dirò l'esatto opposto di ciò che il mondo

Il mondo di oggi sta dicendo

Quindi, al giorno d'oggi leggiamo un sacco di libri

Come umani noi —

Vogliamo scoprire come essere

Qualcun altro

Quello che non facciamo è non entriamo dentro;

Quindi letteralmente capovolgi te stesso

Come se stessimo scrivendo un libro ogni giorno della nostra vita

Ma non leggiamo mai quel libro

Devi guardare dentro di te per vedere cosa vuoi veramente?

Cosa ti appassiona?

Usiamo queste parole e piccole frasi di «solo i forti sopravvivono»

E tutte queste altre stronzate

Sono tutte solo fottute parole.

Sono così stanco di sentire le persone parlare

Come in questo momento, qualcuno potrebbe pensare;

«Goggins sta solo parlando.»

Quindi, quando parlo, parlo per passione, parlo per esperienza

Alcune persone lo capiranno e altre no

Ma devono vedere qual è il loro viaggio per iniziare il loro viaggio

Alcune persone lo capiranno e altre no

Diverse persone vivono fino a cento anni

E hanno una vita fantastica

E hanno dei figli fantastici e quei ragazzi vanno all'università

E tutto quel genere di roba

Ma da qualche parte nella loro vita c'era un punto in cui avevano una decisione

rendere;

Possono andare a sinistra o destra su questo percorso

Possono andare a sinistra o destra su questo percorso

Possono andare a sinistra o destra su questo percorso

Possono andare a sinistra o destra su questo percorso

A sinistra era la via facile

Quella giusta era la via difficile

Molte persone prendono la strada facile

E hanno avuto una bella vita in quel modo

Ma la vita migliore stava andando dalla parte giusta

E potresti avere 20 anni di dolore e sofferenza per superarlo

Ma molti di noi muoiono senza mai iniziare veramente il nostro viaggio

E devi iniziare il tuo viaggio

Potrebbe fare schifo, ma lo farà

Esci dall'altra parte, stiamo costeggiando

Ogni giorno vediamo chi siamo come persone

Quando stavo crescendo

Ho mentito affinché le persone mi accettassero perché non accettavo me stesso

Quindi inventerei storie, così mi accetteresti nel tuo mondo

Tutto quello che ho fatto è stato per piacere a qualcun altro

Non è stato fino a quando ho iniziato a leggere il mio libro su quanto fossi patetico come

essere umano

Potrei incolpare mio padre, potrei incolpare i bambini a scuola, potrei incolpare la salute

problemi ADD, con mia mamma che non c'è

Grande mamma ma stava facendo cose qui

Potrei incolpare molte persone

E questo è il libro che stavo leggendo e l'ho rimandato a tutti gli altri

Non è stato finché non ho detto;

«Sai cosa per me per riparare questo ho devo leggere in cosa cazzo c'è sbagliato

David Goggins.»

E non incolpare nessuno

Leggi il mio libro, va bene, ho paura della mia ombra

Come posso superarlo?

Entra nell'esercito, fatti prendere a calci in culo, fai cose che odi fare Essere

a disagio ogni fottuto giorno della tua vita

ricevuto

Non sono il ragazzo più intelligente del mondo

Va bene, invece di qualcuno dice;

«Oh no, sei intelligente.

Oh no no,

non dirlo a te stesso.»

Mi sono detto;

«Sono uno stupido figlio di puttana»

Va bene, Roger quello

Come si diventa più intelligenti?

Educa te stesso

Quindi, le cose da cui scappiamo scappiamo dalla verità

Stiamo scappando dalla verità, amico

Quindi, l'unico modo in cui ho avuto successo era andare verso la verità

Tanto doloroso, quanto brutale, così com'è

Mi ha cambiato

Mi ha permesso di diventare

Di diritto

Chi sono oggi
