Old lady woke up today, wrong side of the bed

She kicked me out abrupt

It spun my head

Grandmother’s lost her mind again and pulled the rug

She got wicked, blew her wig

I’ve had enough of this

And I’m no stranger to car nights,

To reclined seats or street lights

But I would have liked to think that those times were had, and tried

I’ve succumbed to binges and making friends in hallways

Because I’m hung up on you today, and always…

I said «What you got man?»

«Just take your pick.»

«I'll have 2 20/20's and a box of sticks,

And if you don’t have lights, I’ll settle for Joe’s.

We can start off with those,

And then see how the night goes.

I’m in a real bad way that I’d rather forget.

La vecchia signora si è svegliata oggi, dalla parte sbagliata del letto

Mi ha buttato fuori bruscamente

Mi girò la testa

La nonna ha perso di nuovo la testa e ha tirato il tappeto

È diventata cattiva, si è fatta saltare la parrucca

Ne ho abbastanza di questo

E non sono estraneo alle notte in macchina,

Ai sedili reclinati o ai lampioni

Ma mi sarebbe piaciuto pensare che quei tempi fossero vissuti, e provati

Ho ceduto alle abbuffate e ho fatto amicizia nei corridoi

Perché oggi sono attaccato a te, e sempre...

Ho detto "Cosa hai amico?"

«Fai la tua scelta.»

«Avrò 2 20/20 e una scatola di bastoncini,

E se non hai le luci, mi accontenterò di quelle di Joe.

Possiamo iniziare con quelli,

E poi vedi come va la notte.

Sono in un pessimo modo che preferirei dimenticare.

««Bene, questo dovrebbe fare il trucco, ma non sdraiarti ancora.

Hai miglia da percorrere e una meta da raggiungere,

Ma vedo dalla tua faccia che non hai bisogno del mio discorso.
