Two roads diverged in a yellow wood

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair

And having perhaps the better claim

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way

I doubted if I should ever come back

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--

I took the one less traveled by

And that has made all the difference

Due strade divergevano in un bosco giallo

E mi dispiace non aver potuto viaggiare entrambi

E sii un viaggiatore, a lungo sono rimasto

E ho guardato in basso per quanto possibile

Dove si piegava nel sottobosco;

Poi ha preso l'altro, altrettanto giusto

E avendo forse la pretesa migliore

Perché era erboso e ricercato;

Anche se per quanto riguarda il passaggio lì

Li avevo indossati più o meno allo stesso modo

Ed entrambi quella mattina giacevano ugualmente

Nelle foglie nessun passo aveva calpestato il nero

Oh, ho tenuto il primo per un altro giorno!

Eppure sapere come la strada porta alla strada

Dubitavo che sarei mai dovuto tornare

Lo racconterò con un sospiro

Da qualche parte invecchia e invecchia quindi:

Due strade divergevano in un bosco, e io...

Ho preso quello da cui ho viaggiato meno

E ciò ha fatto la differenza
