Tales From Eternal Dusk - Dark Fortress

As darkness falls for the last time

I awake from my apparently infinite sleep

A silver full moon glows on this winter night

Waning into oblivion

… and I follow the northern storms

That bring dusk upon the icy landscapes

… and the storms lead me to majestic forests

Lakes and mountains I’ve never seen before

Melancholy within seems eternal

As I walk through the undergrowth

Of these endless woods

But then I see her sleeping under the dark trees

— my beloved nocturnal queen

And the children of the night watch over her

Like the moon watches over the night

As I get closer to her she awakens

From her majestic sleep

As she embraces me again

I feel her magical attraction

Together we walk the path of salvation

And together with the wolves

She sings her sweet serenades

And with these, her majestic serenades

She reaches for my black, bleeding heart

Which only beats for her

She kisses me with her lips of fire

And this kiss covers my heart

With a dismal shade of sadness

And her hair of gold, waving in the wind

Seems to me like the star-covered horizon

Her sweet art is the key to my solitary heart

And together we open the gate to infinity

Into the dusk-impregnated land of dreams

Where our spirits shall rest eternally

I look into her eyes

Knowing that this moment won’t

Last eternally

… and the sun never rises, for she is

The forgotten flame

Engulfing my heart

… and in the black wind her shadow

Fades away

Into the melancholy of the night

And again my heart is touched

By an endless solitary darkness

Mi sveglio dal mio sonno apparentemente infinito

Una luna piena d'argento risplende in questa notte d'inverno

Scendendo nell'oblio

... e seguo le tempeste del nord

Che portano il crepuscolo sui paesaggi ghiacciati

... e le tempeste mi portano in foreste maestose

Laghi e montagne che non ho mai visto prima

La malinconia interiore sembra eterna

Mentre cammino nel sottobosco

Di questi boschi infiniti

Ma poi la vedo dormire sotto gli alberi scuri

— la mia amata regina notturna

E i figli della notte vegliano su di lei

Come la luna veglia sulla notte

Man mano che mi avvicino a lei, si sveglia

Dal suo sonno maestoso

Mentre mi abbraccia di nuovo

Sento la sua magica attrazione

Insieme percorriamo il sentiero della salvezza

E insieme ai lupi

Canta le sue dolci serenate

E con queste, le sue maestose serenate

Prende il mio cuore nero e sanguinante

Che batte solo per lei

Mi bacia con le sue labbra di fuoco

E questo bacio copre il mio cuore

Con una cupa sfumatura di tristezza

E i suoi capelli d'oro, che ondeggiano al vento

Mi sembra l'orizzonte coperto di stelle

La sua dolce arte è la chiave del mio cuore solitario

E insieme apriamo le porte all'infinito

Nella terra dei sogni impregnata di oscurità

Dove i nostri spiriti riposeranno eternamente

La guardo negli occhi

Sapendo che questo momento non lo farà

Ultimo eternamente

... e il sole non sorge mai, perché lei lo è

La fiamma dimenticata

Inghiottendo il mio cuore

... e nel vento nero la sua ombra

Svanisce

Nella malinconia della notte

E di nuovo il mio cuore è commosso

Da un'oscurità infinita e solitaria
