Part II - Pontiak

We drive fast

over the mountains

and leave behind us

the desert that surrounds us

the sun is high above us

the clouds look down

upon us

my memory is weak

summer has left us

long ago without us

the place we used to sit

will always surround us

filled with flowers and birds

and people swimming

all around us

Guidiamo velocemente

sopra le montagne

e lasciaci alle spalle

il deserto che ci circonda

il sole è alto sopra di noi

le nuvole guardano in basso

su di noi

la mia memoria è debole

l'estate ci ha lasciato

tanto tempo fa senza di noi

il posto in cui ci sedevamo

ci circonderà sempre

pieno di fiori e uccelli

e persone che nuotano

tutto intorno a noi
